The Johnnie N. Patterson, Jr. Memorial - Bradenton Scholarship is available to students currently enrolled or planning to enroll in Polk State College who are dependent and immediate family members of a Certified Florida Law Enforcement Officer. Students seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree are eligible to apply. Special consideration is given to the dependents of a deceased certified Florida law enforcement officer who was killed on or off duty, followed by the dependents of a disabled certified Florida law enforcement officer who was injured on or off duty.
