Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from NYSIR-subscriber high schools who plan to attend college in the state.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate a record of involvement and work for a cause or organization that actively promotes social justice, equal opportunity, relief of human suffering, or similar humanitarian activity.
  • The essay also may include mention of inspirational role models.
  • Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
