The Joyce Elaine ("Dusty") Palaia Memorial Scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors from Hidden Valley. Illinois Valley, North Valley, or Rogue River High School in Oregon. Students who are planning to pursue a career as a public school teacher and/or demonstrate commitment to social justice activism are welcome to apply.

Attending Hidden Valley or North Valley high schools in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley High School in Cave Junction, or Rogue River High School in Rogue River, Oregon

Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree

Studying education

Preparing for a career as a teacher or demonstrating a commitment to social justice activism

Participation in community service or extracurricular activities

Exhibit good character and academic achievement
