Kansas Association of Broadcasters Kids Scholarship provides financial assistance to children of employees at member stations of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters (KAB) who plan to major in any field at a college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors who plan to attend a vocational/technical school, 2-year community college, or 4-year college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must be the child of a fulltime employee of an association member radio or television station.
  • They may be majoring in any field of study.
  • Selection is based on school and community activities, honors, and other accomplishments, and a 2page essay in which applicants describe how they have benefited from having a parent working in the broadcast business, the career they plan to pursue and why they selected it, their activities related to their career choice, and the activity or affiliation they have found to be the most rewarding and why.
