The Kansas City Scholars - Adult Learner Scholarship is open to residents from the 6-county Kansas City area who are at least 24 years of age. Applicants must have completed at least 12 college credits but have been out of school for a period of time. Students who are interested in resuming their education at a designated university or community college that is a KCS Postsecondary Network Institution are welcome to apply.

  • Resident of Cass, Clay, Jackson, or Platte counties in Missouri or Johnson or Wyandotte counties in Kansas
  • Aged 24 or older
  • Completed 12 units of college credit
  • U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, DACA current and pending
  • Authorized to live and work in the U.S.
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree at a designated partner institution
