Kay Weiss Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to high school seniors who are members of Mu Alpha Theta (a mathematics honor society) and are interested in promoting participation in STEM by women.

Requirements
  • This program is open to graduating high school seniors who are members of Mu Alpha Theta.
  • Applicants must have participated successfully in local, regional, and national mathematics competitions.
  • They may also submit an essay on how they plan to advance women's participation in fields of STEM and the ways in which they have worked to promote or support women's participation in STEM. Selection is based on those essays, service to their local Mu Alpha Theta chapter, GPA, SAT and/or ACT scores, and 2 letters of recommendation.
  • Financial need is not considered.
