The Kazuma and Ichiko Hisanaga Scholarship is for graduating seniors of Hilo High School in Hilo, Hawaii. Successful applicants will have been involved in sports and community service and will have leadership experience. Examples of leadership experience are having served as the captain of a varsity sports team, a student government leader, or an officer of an extracurricular program.

  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given first to graduates of Hilo High School, then to graduating seniors from the following Hawaii Island high schools: Waiakea High School, St. Joseph High School, and other Hawai'i Island high schools. Preference is also given to students attending Division II, Division III, or NAIA schools on the mainland.
