About the Scholarship

The Kelly Moravec Academic Encouragement Scholarships are available to graduating seniors from Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity counties in California, OR students who are attending the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital School in Palo Alto, California. Students who are dealing with, or have dealt with serious medical adversity and have demonstrated academic excellence are encouraged to apply. Despite difficult medical battles and tragedies, Kelly Moravec kept true to his academic goals and dreams and in honor of his memory, the Honors in the Face of Medical Adversity Scholarship was created to encourage students to overcome medical challenges to continue their education beyond high school.
