Kentucky Association of Fairs and Horse Shows Youth Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school students in Kentucky who have been involved in their local county fair and plan to attend college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors in Kentucky and first-year college students who have participated in an approved agricultural class or have been active volunteers at their respective local county fairs.
  • Candidates must be nominated by their fair; each county fair may nominate 1 resident of their county for this program.
  • Nominees must submit a list of agriculture classes (if any) they have taken in high school or college, a list of events or classes they entered as a participant at the current year's fair, a list of the responsibilities or duties they performed at the current year's fair, and a 500word essay on how their personal life skills have been enhanced by their involvement in their local fair activities.
