Requirements
  • This program is open to students who have completed at least 4 semesters of an ABET-accredited engineering program in Kentucky with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Applicants must be members of a recognized student engineering organization, such as the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers (KSPE), Tau Beta Pi, Chi Epsilon, ASCE, ASME, IEEE, or SWE. Along with their application, they must submit a short essay on why they want to be an engineer.
  • Selection is based on that essay, overall GPA, participation in civic and volunteer organizations, professional activities, professional publications, and work experience.
  • Special consideration is given to involvement in KSPE or the student chapter of KSPE.
