Kids' Chance of Arkansas Scholarship provides financial assistance to Arkansas residents whose parent was killed or permanently disabled in an employment-related accident and who are interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to children of workers who have been killed or become permanently and totally disabled from a compensable Arkansas Workers' Compensation injury or accident.
  • Applicants must be between 16 and 22 years of age; be able to demonstrate academic achievement and aptitude; and be enrolled or planning to enroll full time at an accredited vocational/technical school, college, or university in any state.
  • The injury or death of their parent must have resulted in a decrease in family earnings that creates an obstacle to the continuation of their education.
