The Kids' Chance of Oregon Scholarship is available to high school or GED, college students who are children of workers with permanent total disability or are killed in a compensable work-related accident or occupational disease. Students planning to pursue postsecondary education are welcome to apply. Recipients are chosen for their demonstration of financial need.

Requirements
  • Resident of the U.S.
  • High school senior or undergraduate student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree fulltime
  • Planning to attend a 2 or 4year college or university, trade or technical school or Oregon registered apprentice program
  • Participation in community service
  • Aged 16 to 25
  • Child of an employee who is permanently disabled or killed in a workrelated accident arising out of employment for an Oregon employer covered by Oregon workers’ compensation, including employees of the City of Portland Bureaus of Fire and Police
  • Demonstrate financial need
