Kiichi Egashira Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to members and children of members of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County who are interested in attending college in any state to work on a degree in a field of science, engineering, or mathematics.

Requirements
  • This program is open to members of the South Bay Chapter of JACL and/or the children of members who are seniors graduating from participating high schools or graduates of those schools already enrolled in college.
  • Applicants must be attending or planning to attend a college or university in any state to work on a bachelor's degree in the biological or physical sciences, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Financial need is considered in the selection process.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
