Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Kings County, California who plan to study agriculture at an accredited 2- or 4-year college, university, or vocational education institution in any state.
  • Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Selection is based on that essay, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, determination, leadership skills, and commitment to a career in agriculture.
  • Preference is given to applicants who 1) demonstrate service to Kings County agriculture or the Kings County Farm Bureau (KCGB) through some form of volunteerism or community service; or 2) have a parent, employer, or relative who is a KCFB member.
