Kirt Brooks Memorial Water Environment Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the California Water Environment Association (CWEA) who are working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in a field related to the water environment industry at a school in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to students working full or part-time on an associate, bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree in a field related to the water environment industry, including public administration and engineering, at a school in any state.
  • Separate categories exist for each degree and for students who are currently employed in the industry (e.g., municipal or district water and/or wastewater systems, industrial systems or plants, consulting or contracting firms, government agencies, research or analytical laboratories, manufacturer of water and/or wastewater equipment or products, water and/or wastewater distributor or manufacturer's representative).
  • Applicants must be members of the CWEA or sponsored by a member.
  • Selection is based on academic record, personal references, the relation of major and career goals to the water environment industry, and financial need.
