Klussendorf/McKown Scholarship provides financial assistance to college students majoring in dairy science at a college or university in the United States or Canada.

Requirements

This program is open to students who are completing their first, second, or third year at a 2- or 4-year college or university in the United States or Canada.

Applicants must be majoring in dairy science, animal science, agribusiness, or another field that will help prepare them for a career in the dairy industry.

They must submit 200word essays on 1) their dairy cattle experiences; 2) their dairy-related participation in 4-H, FFA, judging, breed association, and other student-related activities; 3) their leadership roles; and 4) why they want to be part of the U.S. or Canadian dairy industry's future.

Financial need is not considered in the selection process.

Preference for the Robert McKown Scholarship is given to students with Holstein experience.
