The Kohala Ditch Educational Scholarship is for residents of Hawai'i with preference given to students who are of Hawaiian ancestry and have attended Kohala High School. Additional consideration is also given to applicants who are attending the University of Hawaii or Hawaii community college, and seeking a degree in Hawaiian studies, oceanography, agriculture, or botany.

  • Demonstrate financial need Preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year, those with Hawaiian ancestry, students who attend Kohala High School in Hawai'i, the University of Hawaii or Hawaii Community College, and to students pursuing studies related to the fields of Hawaiian studies, oceanography, agriculture, or botany.
