The Ladies' Branch of the New Bedford Port Society Scholarship program seeks students with families who have documented ties to the sea or are descendants of seamen. This scholarship is also available to students studying for a degree in maritime science or planning to attend a maritime academy. Residents of the Greater New Bedford region of Massachusetts are encouraged to apply.
