About the Scholarship

The Latinos in Technology Scholarship recognizes students of Latino and Hispanic origin who are seeking a bachelor's degree in a STEM field. This program is available to graduates from high schools in designated California counties or students enrolled at a college or university in those counties. Community college students transferring to a 4-year college or university, or college juniors and seniors are welcome to apply. Rising college juniors planning to attend full-time receive special consideration.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Graduate of a high school in the following California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, or Yolo, or;
  • Planning to attend a 4year college or university in the following California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, or Yolo
  • Community college student transferring to a 4year college or university, or;
  • College junior or senior students
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree in a STEM field as a fulltime or part-time student
  • Latino or Hispanic origin (as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau)
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to rising college juniors planning to attend fulltime.
