Lead a Legacy Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who are members of Missouri DECA, have a record of giving back through community service, and plan to attend college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors who are members of Missouri DECA and can demonstrate a spirit of making a positive difference through community service.
  • Applicants must be interested in attending an accredited 2 or 4-year postsecondary institution in any state to continue their study of business administration, entrepreneurship, finance, management, marketing, or a related field.
  • Their adviser must submit a letter of recommendation that describes their character and service to others.
  • Students must submit an essay on their philosophy of giving back and their plans to help future Missouri DECA members; another essay on their career plans and goals for the future; a list of honors, awards, and leadership positions through involvement in DECA and other schools, work, and community organizations; a list of volunteer service activities; transcripts; 3 letters of recommendation; and ACT or SAT scores.
