Requirements
  • This program is open to Hispanic Americans who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students currently enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university as a graduate or undergraduate student.
  • Although grades are considered in the selection process, emphasis is placed on the applicant's motivation, sincerity, and integrity, as revealed through a personal interview and in a 300word essay on how their academic studies will contribute to their personal and professional goals.
  • Need, community involvement, and leadership activities are also considered.
  • Candidates must live near a participating local council of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and must apply directly to that council.
  • Applications must be obtained directly from participating LULAC councils; for a list, contact the sponsor.
