The Leonard, Butcher, and Smeltzer Scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors from John Glenn and Wayne Memorial high schools in Michigan. Students who demonstrate leadership in school activities and extracurricular involvement are encouraged to apply.

  • Graduating senior from John Glenn High School in Westland, and Wayne Memorial High School in Wayne, Michigan
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Fulltime student
  • Planning to attend school in Michigan
  • Participation in extracurricular activities or leadership
  • Demonstrate financial need Employees and dependents of employees of John Glenn or Wayne Memorial High School, Wayne Westland School District, employee/dependent the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, members/dependents of Board of Trustees of the foundation, and members of the Advisory Committee are ineligible for this scholarship.
