Letitia B. Carter Scholarship provides financial assistance to Maryland residents who are food service or hospitality students, teachers, or professionals interested in further coursework.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of Maryland who are 1) high school or college students; 2) high school, college, or corporate instructors or teachers; or 3) hospitality industry professionals.
  • Applicants must be interested in taking courses in a professional development program or a food service or hospitality program recognized by the Restaurant Association of Maryland Education Foundation (RAMEF).
  • Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and at least 400 documented hours of industry experience.
  • Instructors, teachers, and professionals must have at least 1,500 hours of documented industry experience.
  • All applicants must submit an essay on their personal skills and characteristics that will help them meet the future challenges of the food service or hospitality industry.
  • Students must also be able to demonstrate financial need.
