Lewis-McChord Family Scholarship provides financial assistance to family of military service members currently or previously assigned to the Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) area of Washington and interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of the JBLM area in King, Pierce, and northern Thurston counties of Washington who have a valid military identification card.

Applicants must be children or spouses of 1) an activeduty service member assigned to and residing within a 50-mile radius of JBLM; 2) a deceased service member residing within that area, or 3) a retired service member residing within that area.

They must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate program at a college, university, or technical school in any state.

Selection is based on that essay, academics, volunteer activities, letters of recommendation, and leadership roles.
