Requirements
  • This program is open to full-time undergraduates who are majoring in child development or early childhood education at a college or university in Louisiana and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Applicants must have been members of Louisiana Early Childhood Association (LAECA) and the Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA) or their respective student affiliate (SLAECA) for at least 6 months.
  • Selection is based on that statement (20%), contributions to LAECA and other service activities related to children and families (20%), knowledge of contemporary issues related to early childhood (20%), overall GPA (20%), and 2 letters of recommendation (20%).
