The L.L. Nurmi Nelson Memorial Scholarship is open to seniors from Lakeland High School in Lakeland, Florida, who are active in church and community service and have earned a varsity letter in a sport. Special consideration is given to students who have lettered in football, though participation in other sports such as baseball, basketball, track, or cheerleading may also be considered.
