Lloyd A. Chacey, P.E. Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to students in Ohio who have been admitted to an engineering program approved by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET).

Requirements

This program is open to full-time students entering their junior or senior year in an ABET-approved engineering program at a college or university in Ohio with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens; residents of Ohio; and the children, siblings, nieces, nephews, spouses, or grandchildren of current members of the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers (or related to a deceased member who was in good standing at the time of death).

They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, be U.S. citizens, and have SAT scores of at least 600 in mathematics and 500 in reading or comprehension or ACT scores of at least 29 in mathematics and 25 in English.

Selection is based on activities, leadership or work experience, membership and activity in professional and technical societies, honors won, and recommendations.

Financial need is considered a deciding factor in case of a tie.
