Louisiana Restaurant Association Education Foundation ProStart Scholarship provides financial assistance to participants in the ProStart program of the Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA) who are interested in preparing for a career in the hospitality industry at a college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to Louisiana residents who are current or former ProStart participants and have been accepted into or completed at least 2 consecutive semesters of full-time work on an associate or bachelor's degree at a college or university in any state.

Applicants must be majoring in culinary, hospitality and tourism, business, management, family and consumer teaching, or other program that will prepare them for a career in the restaurant, food service, tourism, or hospitality industry or teaching culinary education.

They must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Selection is based on those essays, transcripts, academic honors and achievements, and hospitality work experience.

Students in certificate programs are not eligible.
