Lynn and Pat Murray Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who participate in competitions of the Texas Interscholastic League Foundation (TILF) and are interested in majoring in theater teacher training at a college in the state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Texas who have competed in any University Interscholastic League (UIL) competition, although preference is given to participants in the 1-act play contest.
  • Applicants must be planning to attend a college or university in the state and major in theater teacher training to prepare for a career as a theater arts teacher in public schools or colleges.
  • Preference is given to students who plan to attend the University of Texas at Austin.
