The Maine Veterans Dependents Educational Benefit Scholarship provides financial assistance to dependents of eligible U.S. Armed Service veterans with a 100% permanent and total disability rating, or was KIA, died from a service-connected disability as a result of service, at the time of death were totally and permanently disabled due to a service-connected disability, or were POW/MIA. Students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Maine are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Spouse or dependent child of a U.S. Armed Service veteran with a 100% permanent and total disability rating, or was KIA, died from a service-connected disability as a result of service, at the time of death was totally and permanently disabled due to a service-connected disability, or was a POW/MIA
  • Spouse or dependent child of a U.S. Armed Service veteran who entered service from Maine or has been a resident for at least 5 years prior to application
  • High school senior or undergraduate student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Attending or planning to attend school in Maine
  • Aged 22 or younger (child)
