The Maj. Gen. James Ursano Scholarship Program awards need-based scholarships to dependents of Army Soldiers in obtaining their first undergraduate degree. The Soldier may be on federal active duty, a retired Soldier, or a deceased active or deceased retired Soldier.

Requirements
  • Dependent of U.S. Army Soldier (federal active duty, retired, deceased active duty, deceased retired), or
  • Child of National Guard/Reserve Soldiers on Title 10 Orders for the entire academic year
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree as a fulltime student
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Aged 24 or younger
  • Not a member of the National Guard, Reserves, or another military branch
  • Registered in DEERS (Defense Eligibility Enrollment Reporting System)
  • Remained unmarried for the entire academic year
