The Manton Scholars Program is for high school seniors or undergraduate students whose families have been significantly and negatively affected by the death or serious illness/incapacitation of a primary income earner. Students who either reside or attend high school in one of the eligible locations/schools in Massachusetts, or whose parent is a staff member or faculty at a school in one of these towns are eligible to apply.

Requirements
  • Resident of the U.S.
  • Attend school in or reside in Carlisle, Concord, Dover, Fall River, Maynard, Medway, Natick, Sherborn, Wayland, or Westport in Massachusetts, **OR**
  • Attend Dana Hall School, Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, Groton School, St. Mark’s School, or Worcester Technical High School in Massachusetts for the last three years, **OR**
  • Child of an employee of a private or public high school in the eligible towns or at one of the listed schools
  • High school senior or undergraduate student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Attending or planning to attend school in the U.S. or Canada
  • U.S. citizen or FAFSAeligible non-citizen
  • Have been significantly and negatively affected by death or serious illness of a primary income earner or immediate family member
  • Demonstrate financial need
