The Mark Rooney Future Mechanics' Endowed Scholarship is offered to Florida State College at Jacksonville students pursuing a certification in automotive or diesel mechanics. Additional consideration is provided for recent graduates of a high school in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, or St. Johns counties, Florida. Special consideration is also provided for students enrolled in an internship or co-op program with the City of Jacksonville Fleet Division.

  • Seeking a professional certification, in the absence of a sufficient number of eligible candidates, students seeking a degree will be considered
  • Studying in automotive or diesel engineering, mechanics, and maintenance Preference is given to recent graduates of any high school in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, or St. Johns counties, Florida. Preference is also provided for students enrolled in an internship or coop program with the City of Jacksonville Fleet Division.
