Martin Bruening Scholarship recognizes and rewards student and professional members of the Wisconsin Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) who submit outstanding technical papers.

Requirements
  • This competition is open to students and professional members of the Wisconsin Section of ITE who submit papers, from 6 to 30 pages in length, on a topic related to transportation or traffic engineering.
  • Professional papers must have been completed within the preceding 2 years and may be a workrelated study, a design project, or a research investigation.
  • Students may be enrolled full or parttime; their paper must be the culmination of a research or design project completed as part of their academic studies.
  • Selection is based on organization, clarity and usefulness of tables and figures, adequacy and conciseness in covering the subject, simplicity, and effectiveness of language, proper support of conclusions, completeness of credits and references, and relevancy of the content to transportation engineering.
