The MASSGrant is available to residents of Massachusetts who are pursuing a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree. Students who have not previously earned a bachelor's degree or its equivalent are eligible to apply. Recipients are chosen for their demonstration of financial need.

  • Attending an eligible institution in Massachusetts as a fulltime student
  • U.S. citizen or noncitizen eligible under Title IV regulations
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Maximum Expected Family Contribution of $6,206
  • Not be in default of any federal or state Student Loans for attendance at any institution or owe a refund for any previous financial aid received
  • Be in compliance with Selective Service Registration
