Matthew J. Quinlan Save San Francisco Cyclists Scholarship recognizes and rewards, with scholarships, undergraduate and graduate students who submit outstanding essays on how to reduce bicycle accidents and improving bicycle safety in San Francisco.

Requirements

This competition is open to students younger than 24 years of age entering or enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students at a 4-year college or university.

Applicants must submit a 500word essay on the dangers of driving while texting.

The sponsor selects 5 finalists and posts their essays on its web site.

The finalists are invited to solicit friends to view the website and respond on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Google.

In the selection process, additional points are awarded for each response.

GPA 3.0 or higher.
