Requirements
  • This program is open to Missouri residents who are currently attending a college, university, or accredited trade/technical school in the state or graduating high school seniors who have been admitted to a Missouri institution of higher education.
  • Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll as a fulltime students in a broadcast or related program that provides training and expertise applicable to broadcast operation.
  • They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and submit their application to a radio or television station that is a member of the Missouri Broadcasters Association.
  • Each station selects its top candidate to forward to the association for statewide consideration.
  • Selection is based on curriculum and career goals, clarity of thought and expression, letters of recommendation, community involvement, extracurricular activities, and financial need.
  • Finalists are invited for personal interviews.
