McKim & Creed Scholarship provides financial assistance to upper-division students from any state working on a degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering at a campus of the University of North Carolina (UNC).

Requirements

This program is open to residents of any state entering their junior year at a campus of the UNC system that has an ABET-accredited program in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering.

Applicants must submit a 500word essay that discusses their interest in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, their major area of study and specialization, the occupation they propose to pursue after graduation, their financial need, their long-term goals, how the scholarship could help them achieve those goals, and their interest in an internship.

Preference is given to members of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).

U.S. citizenship is required.
