The McKnight Doctoral Fellowship Scholarship is open to African American or Hispanic students with a bachelor's degree who are interested in seeking a Ph.D. Students seeking a degree in designated fields at selected universities in Florida and preparing for an academic career are eligible to apply. Special consideration is given to students pursuing agriculture, biology, business administration, chemistry, computer science, engineering, marine biology, mathematics, physics, or psychology.

  • Studying in the fields of arts and sciences, business, engineering, health sciences, nursing, or the visual and performing arts
  • Attend Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Florida Atlantic University, Florida Institute of Technology, Florida International University, Florida State University, University of Central Florida, University of Florida, University of Miami, or the University of South Florida
  • U.S. citizen
  • African American, Black, Hispanic, or Latino Preference is given to students pursuing agriculture, biology, business administration, chemistry, computer science, engineering, marine biology, mathematics, physics, or psychology.
