MHSAA Scholar-Athlete scholarship provides financial assistance for college to seniors who have participated in athletics at high schools that are members of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA).

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools that are members of the MHSAA. Applicants must be planning to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • They must have won a varsity letter in 1 of the sports in which postseason tournaments are sponsored by MHSAA: baseball, boys' and girls' basketball, boys' and girls' bowling, girls' competitive cheer, boys' and girls' cross country, football, boys' and girls' golf, girls' gymnastics, ice hockey, boys' and girls' lacrosse, boys' and girls' soccer, softball, boys' and girls' skiing, boys' and girls' swimming and diving, boys' and girls' tennis, boys' and girls' track and field, girls volleyball, and wrestling.
  • Selection is based on the long essay (40%), involvement in extracurricular activities (30%), short essays (20%), and 2 letters of recommendation (10%).
