Michigan Horse Council Member Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Michigan Horse Council (MHC) and their children who are interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to members of the MHC who are currently enrolled full or part-time at a college or university in any state.
  • Children of members who are 18 years of age or younger are eligible to apply if they are completing high school and have been accepted at a college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must submit a 250word statement explaining their involvement in the horse industry and their reasons for pursuing their chosen field.
  • Selection is based on academic achievement, duration, and extent of involvement with equines and in equine organizations, volunteer activities, the potential for success in a chosen field of study, the potential for contribution to the horse industry, and financial need.
