Requirements
  • This program is open to Michigan residents who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or approved refugees.
  • Applicants must be receiving (or have received) Medicaid from the Michigan Department of Human Services for at least 24 months within a 36consecutive month period and be under the age of 20.
  • They must apply any time after completing the sixth grade but before graduating from high school or receiving a GED. When they begin college, they are considered to be enrolled in Phase I. Students qualify for phase II benefits after completing a certificate, associate degree, or 56 credit hours.
