Minnesota State High School League Triple "A" Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in Minnesota who excel in the Triple "A" activities of academics, arts, and athletics and plan to attend college in any state.
This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Minnesota and planning to attend college in any state.
Each school may nominate 2 students, a female, and a male.
Selection of state winners is based on academic success; involvement in athletic programs sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League (badminton, baseball, basketball, cross country running, competitive dance, football, golf, gymnastics, hockey, lacrosse, skiing, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, synchronized swimming, tennis, track, volleyball, wrestling, and adapted soccer, bowling, floor hockey, and softball); involvement in Leaguesponsored fine arts activities (state, section, sub-section, school, or community-sponsored activities in instrumental or vocal music, debate, speech, 1-act play, visual arts, robotics, and clay target); and involvement in other school and community activities.
Nominees must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in compliance with the League's Student Code of Conduct.
They must submit 1) 150word essays on their participation in course work, art activities, and athletic activities; and 2) a 250-word essay on how their involvement in the arts, athletics, and academics has developed and promoted their growth beyond performance and how their involvement developed them as a person.
Students from Class A and Class AA schools are judged separately, as are females and males.
