Missouri Mayflower Society Scholarship recognizes and rewards, with college scholarships, high school seniors in Missouri who submit outstanding essays on the Mayflower Pilgrims.

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Missouri and planning to enroll at a college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must submit a 750word essay on a topic that changes annually but relates to the Mayflower experience; a recent topic related to the Merchant Adventurers of London and their role in the Mayflower voyage.
  • They must be U.S. citizens, but they are not required to be Mayflower descendants.
  • Along with their essay, they must also submit a copy of their high school transcript including GPA and SAT and/or ACT scores, 2 letters of recommendation, and a 1 to a 2-page statement on their goals, interests, activities, honors or awards, employment record, and community service.
