Missouri's Cattlemen Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors and current undergraduates who have a connection to the Missouri Cattlemen's Association, especially those who are interested in studying an agriculture-related field at a college in Missouri.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors and full-time college students younger than 23 years of age who are 1) members of the Missouri Junior Cattlemen's Association; or 2) the child of a member of the Missouri Cattlemen's Association.
  • Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and be able to demonstrate financial need and leadership potential through extracurricular activities and work experiences.
  • Preference is given to applicants who are attending or planning to attend a college or university in Missouri and major in 1 of the following fields: agribusiness management, agricultural economics, agriculture education, agriculture journalism, agriculture systems management, animal science, general agriculture, biochemistry, food science, and nutrition, or plant science.
  • Selection is based on communication (10%), leadership (20%), community involvement (15%), agricultural involvement (20%), academic achievement (10%), financial need (5%), Cattlemen's Association involvement (5%), work history (5%), and general impression (10%).
  • The topranked applicants are invited to an interview during the sponsor's annual convention; based on the interview, additional funding is provided to the highest ranked students.
