The Monetary Award Program is available to residents of Illinois who have not yet earned a bachelor's degree. Both traditional and non-traditional students who are planning to attend an approved college or university in Illinois are eligible to apply. Recipients are automatically chosen based on their planned school attendance.

  • Resident of Illinois
  • Undergraduate student, on academic break, or not currently enrolled
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Full or parttime student
  • Planning to attend school in Illinois
  • U.S. citizen, eligible noncitizen, or meet the undocumented student criteria of the RISE Act
  • Not be in default on any student loan, nor owe a refund on any state or federal grant, AND Not be incarcerated
  • Demonstrate financial need
