The Monetary Award Program is available to residents of Illinois who have not yet earned a bachelor's degree. Students who are currently attending an approved college or university in Illinois are eligible to apply. Recipients are chosen for their demonstration of financial need.

Requirements
  • Resident of Illinois
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Attending an eligible postsecondary institution in Illinois
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. national, permanent resident, or meet the undocumented student criteria of the RISE Act
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress
  • Comply with federal Selective Service registration requirements
  • Not have used the equivalent of 135 MAP Paid Credit Hours or more
  • Not be in default on any student loan, nor owe a refund on any state or federal grant
  • Not be incarcerated
