Requirements

This program is open to residents of Monterey County, California who are high school seniors, high school graduates, college students, or graduate students.

Applicants must be 1) members of the Monterey Bay Officers' Spouses Club (MBOSC); 2) spouses and children of MBOSC members; or 3) spouses and children of activeduty, retired, or deceased military members in the Monterey Bay area, as at the Naval Post Graduate School (NPS), Naval Support Activities (NSA) Monterey, Presidio of Monterey/Defense Language Institute Foreign Language School (POM/DLIFLC), or Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FNMOC).

Also eligible are spouses and children of NPS alumni, including international military students, who may be living anywhere.

Applicants must have a valid military ID card.

They must be enrolled or planning to enroll full or parttime at a college or university in any state.

Selection is based on that essay, academic achievement, extracurricular activities or work history, community involvement, achievements and/or recognitions, and references.
