Requirements
  • This program is open to graduating high school seniors, high school graduates, and undergraduate college students who are residents of Massachusetts.
  • Applicants must have been accepted as fulltime or substantial part-time students in a restaurant or food service-related postsecondary program.
  • They must have a GPA of 2.65 or higher or an equivalent GED score.
  • High school seniors must have at least 250 hours of restaurant or food service work experience; high school graduates, GED certificates, and undergraduates must have at least 750 hours of such experience.
  • Selection is based on essays on assigned topics, GPA or GED score, presentation of the application, restaurant and food service work experience, and letters of recommendation.
