The N. Lisa Garcia Veterans Scholarship is available to high school seniors in Polk County, Florida, and the child of a U.S. Armed Services veteran. Students who do not qualify for the Children and Spouses of Deceased or Disabled Veterans and Service members (CSDDV) Scholarship, and who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service or work experience, are eligible to apply.

  • Child of a U.S. Armed Service Veteran with an honorable discharge, not rated 100% disabled by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and is a resident of Polk County, Florida
  • Minimum 2.50 GPA
  • Resident of the U.S.
  • Attend a public high school in Polk County, Florida
  • High school senior
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Complete a minimum of 100 community service hours
