NAEHCY Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to high school students and recent graduates who are currently or formerly homeless.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors, students enrolled in GED or other alternative education programs, or students who recently obtained their diploma or GED certificate (under 21 years of age).
  • Applicants must be homeless or have been homeless during their school attendance.
  • This includes students who live in shelters, cars, campgrounds, or other places "not meant for human habitation." Also eligible are youth who are living with friends or relatives temporarily because they lack permanent housing.
  • Selection is based on the essay, demonstrated commitment to education during the experience of homelessness, academic achievement and accomplishments, and potential impact of the scholarship on the student's educational career.
